Hello Santiago! what a wonderful interpretation of the split second tradition! As it seems to me, the base movement is a Venus 185 whit many different details. I like very much the effort to let the column wheel of split second function free to the sight, switching the bridge in a space that is normally housing the chronographic seconds engaging lever. And the lever is also elevated to superior levels. I think all other fellows who like cronographs will be glad to see and listen from you details about all other areas of the caliber, like the balance wheel, hairspring, stud and pallet lever bridge. Hope to hear form you soon.

Many thanks!!! Yes, the idea was to create a new rattrapante calibre taking the Venus 185 as a base. This donor movement comes from a Telda chronograph from the 40's. Regarding your questions, we use a free sprung balance with a new old stock hairspring made of Invar. The balance wheel is made of Titanium and regulated by 6 18k pink gold "masselottes", the balance stud holder is made of steel and the anchor bridge is made of steel too.
All this pieces and many others have been completely "handmade" with traditional machines ( 8mm lathe machines, etc.) and tools without the use of CNC machines and decorated by hand too (anglage, polished countersinks, black polish, etc.). Hope you find this information helpful.

If I have read the story of that watch well, it should be a watch made tailored to a customer and the movement completely rebuilt. Right?

    Hi, good afternoon.
Yes, because we only make unique pieces each time for each customer.
    Thanks

If i understood every watch is unrepeatable.

The inspiration come from the customer or from your designers? How many months does it takes the project?

    Thanks for sharing.

Hello! yes, our philosophy is to create a unique watch for each customer. We think that every customer deserves to have a unique and unrepeatable watch. This is the advantage of working artisanal; you can start from 0 each time. Our creation process always starts listening to the customers requests, ideas or wishes. Then, we study these inputs and make our own design proposal always under the AdC style. We are inspired by the past and try to make a new "modern vintage" style in our creations. Timeless timepieces forever.
It takes several months, now, our delivery time is about 12-18 months.

    Thanks!!

    Hello to everybody!

I'm Santiago Martínez from Atelier de Chronométrie in Barcelona and I'm so glad and grateful to be part of this forum!

Atelier de Chronométrie appeared on the independent watchmaking scene in 2015 bringing a romantic understanding of "haute horlogerie". It is a choral work which wants to humbly contribute to the enhancement of the artisanal watchmaking. A new return to the past of this art striving to recover its essence. An art which encapsulates the manual, intuitive and organic processes where the hand is the key.

Working by hand give us the freedom that allows Atelier de Chronométrie to create unique timepieces. Each watch is a new beginning, an entirely new project in itself, because we defend the idea that every customer deserves a unique and unrepeatable watch.
