Cassa in acciaio o in titanio carbide. Movimento automatico Calibre 5 su base Sellita (in sostituzione ETA). In boutique.

As a preview of the novelties that will be presented at Baselworld 2014, Tag Heuer unveiled the new Carrera Drive Timer Calibre 5.

The typical Carrera case has a diameter of 43 mm and is available in stainless steel (ref. WAR2A10) or in black titanium carbide (ref. WAR2A80). The second crown at 10 o'clock controls the rotating inner flange which can be used as a 60-minute timer by synchronising it with the minute hand.

Pretty unusually for a Carrera, the black dial displays large luminous hour and minute hands somehow reminiscent of pilot watches' ones with luminescent Arabic numerals.
A black perforated calf-skin strap completes the sporty look of the watch which is water resistant to 100 metres.

Powered by the Sellita SW200-based Calibre 5 automatic movement offering 38 hours of power reserve, the Carrera Drive Timer is already available at the Tag Heuer boutiques with prices in the 2,500-3,000 Euro range.

    Esteticamente gradevole, dimensioni ancora accettabili.
Comunque avrebbero fatto prima a mettere un quarzo ETA ....
