The new Hamilton Khaki X-Wind Limited Edition combines a 3-counter chronograph with a drift-angle calculator, a function that will appeal the aviation enthusiasts.
When an aircraft is flying in a crosswind situation, a correction must be made in order to keep it from being blown away from its desired path. This correction is called the “Drift Angle” and can be calculated with the Khaki X-Wind Limited Edition operating on the two crowns at 2 and 4 o'clock which control the lower and upper bezel respectively.
The intriguing design of the dial is characterized by a three-dimensional effect which helps locating the various functions. There are two versions of this model: one in brushed black and brushed dark grey; the other with sunray silver colouring and brushed dark grey. Hamilton will produce 1,999 numbered pieces of each of these designs.
The 45 mm case is made of stainless steel with use of rubber for the bezel and for the grip of the chronograph push buttons which are positioned, together with the crown for setting the time, on the left of the watch.
The Khaki X-Wind Limited Edition is water resistant to 100 metres and it is powered by Hamilton’s own movement, the Swiss-made H-21 offering 60 hours of power reserve.
The watch can be combined with a black rubber strap finished with an H-shaped pin buckle or with a three-row stainless steel bracelet. Suggested retail price starts from 2,200 Swiss Francs.

In questo caso si potrebbe anche giustificare dato che le due ghiere di calcolo richiedono il loro spazio per poter essere leggibili.Ciao Ale

Intravedo comunque alcuni spunti che, se ben sviluppati, potrebbero dar vita ad un bel crono (senza drift angle) magari in una cassa da 42.. -
