Cronografo certificato COSC che Chopard ha creato per il Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, evento che si tiene a Monaco in Maggio di cui Chopard è sponsor. Cassa in titanio 44.5 mm con lunetta e fondello in acciaio. Dettagli gialli super sportivi. Grande ma, credo, che in questo caso possa avere una sua giustificazione essendo idealmente pensato per un pilota. Ricorda, più che altro per i colori, lo Speedmaster Racing presentato da Omega nel 2012.

The new Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique is an ultra-sporty self-winding chronograph, with a vintage touch, that Chopard developed in homage to the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique that will take place in Monaco on the weekend of May 10th - 11th 2014 with the participation of old Bugatti, Ferrari, Lotus, Cooper and Lola cars.

The 44.5 mm case is water resistant to 100 metres and is made of matt titanium except for the bezel and the back which are in polished stainless steel. The back is engraved with the logo of the Automobile Club de Monaco which organises the commemorative Grand Prix. The engravings of the titanium chronograph pushers are somehow reminiscent of car pistons.

The readability of the watch is enhanced by the set of contrasts on the dial, featuring bright yellow hands for the chronograph part, along with luminova-treated black hands for the hours, minutes and seconds, all standing out clearly against the silver-toned or black snailed background. The hour-marker ring is designed all of a piece like a brake disc and punctuated by arrow-shaped hour-markers which are also filled with luminova.

The self-winding chronograph movement offers a power reserve of 46 hours and it is COSC-certified as a chronometer.

A titanium folding clasp secures a black calfskin strap with large holes and yellow stitches. The Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique may also be fitted with an optional woven nylon NATO-type black strap with yellow stripes.
