Ripetizione minuti attivata dalla rotazione in senso orario (un quarto di giro) della lunetta girevole, calendario perpetuo, indicazione della riserva di carica, tourbillon. Quadrante smaltatao. Cassa in oro rosa. Notevole la tecnica, non riuscita l'estetica aggravata dai 45 mm di diametro.

The Tecnica Ombre Blanche, part of Parmigiani Fleurier's Toric collection, is an extremely complex timepiece as it offers a minute repeater which chimes the hours, quarter hours and minutes, a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar and a power reserve indication, all of them integrated into a single movement.

The polished rose gold case has a diameter of 45 mm and is characterised by a knurled bezel which, far from being a purely decorative element, activates the minute repeater when rotated clockwise by a quarter turn. This way Parmigiani Fleurier avoided the use of a side slider which certainly impacts the harmony of the overall design. This sophisticated activation mechanism represented a challenge in terms of water resistance for the extension of the surface to to be protected from water so it must be valued as a good result to offer water resistance to 10 metres.

As if it was not enough, the Toric Tecnica Ombre Blanche also features a precious Grand Feu Enamel dial, created using the champlevé technique.

A vitreous enamel is applied with a paintbrush to a gold base, corresponding to the hollowed dial area. Exposed at very high temperatures, the enamel melts and fuses. The process is then repeated creating various layers until the hollow is filled. The result is a dazzling white dial which light animates with subtle nuances and depth effects.

The hand wound Calibre PF351 beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. The reserve indicator is positioned at 12 o'clock inside the date sub-dial. The chimes on the Tecnica Ombre Blanche are called "cathedral" chimes as they form two sets of gongs around the case, a solution which greatly enhances the acoustic quality.

The bridges of the movement are decorated using a particular guilloché technique, formed of thousands of ribbed lines which are parallel but without creating a rigid geometric pattern, rather a wave effect.

A brown alligator strap created by Hermès and secured by a rose gold ardillon buckle completes this precious Parmigiani Fleurier timepiece.
