.Restyling della linea Colt di Breitling. Le linee della cassa e della ghiera girevole sono state modernizzata pur mantenendo gli elementi stilistici tipici della casa e del modello.
Il modello Colt Automatico ha cassa in acciaio con diametro 44 mm. Tre le varianti di quadrante: nero, blu e silver. Movimento 28.800 A/h certificato COSC. Lascia perplessi la riduzione del valore di impermeabilità che passa dai 500 metri del predecessore a 200 metri.
Fanno parte della nuova linea altri tre modelli con movimento SuperQuartz: un crono 3 contatori 44 mm, un tre lancette (anche questo 44 mm), e un Lady 33 mm.
Born in the 1980s for the armed forces, the Colt is Breitling's most accessible collection and is available in a range of models with mechanical movements as well as with quartz. Breitling is now presenting a newly revamped Colt line which streamlines the watch design while maintaining all the identity assets of this successful model.
The only model housing a mechanical movement in the collection is the Colt Automatic which is powered by the self-winding Calibre 17, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The 44 mm stainless steel case is characterised by the broad unidirectional rotating bezel with a satin-brushed finish and engraved hour-markers. The four rider tabs – a Breitling signature feature – enhance the handling while protecting the glare proofed sapphire crystal. Equipped with a large screw-locked crown with protective reinforcements, the Colt Automatic 2014 is water resistant to 200 metres (660 ft), a surprising step back compared to its predecessor which was water resistant to 500 metres (1650 ft).
The black, blue or silver dials, enriched by a fine circular raised motif, offer excellent readability thanks to oversized hands and hour-markers, accentuated by a luminescent coating.
The Breitling Colt Automatic (ref. A1738811|BD44|173A) can be matched to a satin-brushed steel bracelet or to a rubber or leather strap.

La maison mi ha sempre sedotto con i suoi prodotti, specialmente la gamma Navitimer.
Trovo anche il Colt fascinoso, ma resto basito leggendo 44mm e impermeabilità ridotta... Lo interpreto un "downgrade" a cui non riesco a dare una spiegazione razionale...
