| È allineare che gradico raccogliere gli orologi nello stato fine, ma in alcuni casi la patina aggiunge alla bellezza!

Sì, quello è un buon punto. Grazie Nicola. Piquerez era il più noto per il suo "super compressor"; casi usati da molte aziende, compreso JLC, il IWC e molto. Qui sono due foto relative a Respirator...

The Alpinist line was first introduced by Seiko in 1958. These models were more waterproof than previous models, and the name was inspired by the Japanese concept of "Yamaotoko". According to Seiya Kobayashi, this term translates into English as “mountain man”, and generally describes the Japanese tradition of amateur mountaineering in which people pass time by to climbing Japan’s mountains during weekends and holidays. This Seiko Laurel was from the first generation, then came the Champion 850 Alpinist in 1963 (see photo below). SEIKO then retired the line for 30 years. It was re-introduced again in 1995, and is very popular today.
The movement is a 17j hand-wind. The case is a snap-back.

Taken, apparently, from the French word “respirateur”, which means “to breathe”, the Respirator name was used to denote a very unusual case design. Essentially, it is a two-piece case, and the upper part that holds the crystal sits on a square, flexible seal. This, in turn, allows the case to compress more tightly (or breathe in) as the watch comes under increasing pressure at greater depths. It was a very interesting design concept which apparently worked well when under higher pressure, but, ironically, was not so reliable when the case was under less pressure.
