Non mi piacciono i DeWitt e di solito sono molto critico ma in questo nuovo modello mi pare che ci siano alcune cose interessanti (o quantomeno originali). In particolare: l'organizzazione del quadrante su più livelli, la parte sinistra con alcuni ruotismi a vista e la visualizzazione della fase di luna attraverso l'apertura in oro rosa. Cassa 43 mm in titanio. Calibro manifattura 4Hz.

The latest creation of the Meyrin-based DeWitt manufacture is the Twenty-8-Eight Full Moon, a timepiece featuring a pretty unconventional dial with moon phase complication.

A partial skeleton, the left side of the dial is somehow reminiscent of an atlas with relief, contours and the gold colour tone of the two geared wheels to create a contrast with the silver background.

The right side of the dial is decorated with a plaque of Goldfluss, a type of glittering glass, produced with copper in a low-oxygen reducing atmosphere using an ancient process discovered in Venice in the twelfth century. Applied Roman and Arabic indexes made of rose gold complete the starry dome.

The moon phase module is positioned in the lower part of the dial: the moon is represented by a white mother-of-pearl circle which appears and disappears as the days pass through an aperture in rose gold. The two opposite moons lay on a circular plaque of the same Goldfluss material of the right side of the dial.

The round 43mm brushed and polished titanium case, decorated with the DeWitt signature imperial columns, houses an automatic calibre beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of power reserve.

The DeWitt Twenty-8-Eight is completed by a black alligator wristband with folding titanium buckle.
